Cardiac or not?: Your symptoms could represent a lesion within the cervical spine. However one must always be mindful of cardiac problems. Left upper extremity pain and/or numbness is not likely to be cardiac if the hand is involved. If you have any symptoms of shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or jaw pain then seek immediate medical treatment. If not emergent then please get an evaluation soon.
