B12 and the vision: There are some reported vision problems found with B12 deficiency, though this deficiency is not well known for causing these problems. Eyelid twitching (myokymia), blurred vision, double vision, and nystagmus (back and forth movements of the eyes) have been reported. Since B12 deficiency can affect the myelin sheath around nerves, many neurological symptoms can result, including visual.

Very low B12 levels: can affect the optic nerve and cause a neuropathy leading to vision problems. The diagnosis would be relevant, so mention it to your eye doctor. Low levels for a short period of time is unlikely to affect your optic nerve, but it's important to have a baseline eye exam and some follow up. Good luck.
