Depends: If there is no pain or instability, i wouldn't worry about the snapping. If there are symptoms, you could have scar tissue, cartilage damage, and/or ligament/tendon pathology. If you're having problems, i recommend you follow up with an orthopedic foot and ankle specialist.

See below: You could have subluxatin peroneal tendons where the tendons on the outside of the foot flip over the fibula instead of staying in place. Need to see a podiatrist for determination.
