Diverticulitis: It could be diverticulitis - taking butyric acid supplements and glutamine upto 15gm per day helps with the symptoms. Need to have this checked to make sure there is no other issues in colon.

Collitis? Other?: These are typical symptoms of inflammation in the lower intestine, such as inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colittis, perhaps with proctitits (rectal inflammation). Diverticultis possible, but rare at your age. Other infection/inflammation in the lower abdomen. If you're female and at risk for STD, or a male who has received anal sex, STDs are possible. See a doctor soon.

Need more info: You could be having referred pain from a lesion in your colon. Are you straining to pass a BM? I would advise you to see your family physician for an exam to "nail down" the cause of your pain syndrome.
