Glaucoma eye drop: Formerly known as xalatan, latanoprost is a one drop per day glaucoma eye drop in the prostaglandin family. It works to lower intraocular pressure by increasing outflow of fluid from the eye through non-traditional pathways (uveoscleral outflow). Significant side effects are uncommon, and it is generally very well tolerated and effective.
