Not unusual thing...: The throat contains a cornucopia of different bacteria and yeast- this is not considered unusual and should not be treated with an antifungal agent.

Possibly Thrush: If you have a sore throat or mouth, this would be thrush, a yeast infection of the oral cavity or throat. You could have a bit of yeast in your throat from usinga steroid inhaler, without as many symptoms. Thrush can occur after antibiotics or steroids. It is more common if your immune system isn't great, such as in diabetes. Clobetasol troches 5 times a day work well. Sometimes fluconazole.
