How do i keep my 15-month-old safe around water?

Supervise.: Never leave an infant or toddler in a bathtub alone -- never. Continuously watch your child around any water, including toilets and buckets. Keep the lids of toilets down. Never leave water in an unattended bucket. Store buckets upside down.

Water: must supervise around exposure to water and if drinking be present. Especially supervise around pools of water, gates or barriers for exposure to lots of water.

Teach swimming: In addition to the suggestions by other doctors, please know that you can teach a 15 month old to swim. You may wish to contact a local swimming school.
