High: You have a high risk lipid panel. Your HDL is very low, triglycerides are very high, and your LDL is well above goal. You are at risk for heart disease, stroke and type ii diabetes. Cut out the sweets, including fruit juice and other sweet liquids right now, then get in to see your md or a lipidologist & get a plan to turn this around asap. Good luck.

High Due To LDL-P: High triglyceride (tg), low hdl-c and slightly high ldl-c is a common problem. As tg rises the number of LDL particles rises. However, when tg is high the amount of cholesterol carried by LDL particles goes down. This often results in a much higher LDL particle number (ldl-p) than measured ldl-c levels. When ldl-p is high cardiovascular risk is high independent of ldl-c, hdl-c, or tg values.
