Monitor med effect: First monitor how you tolerate both medications and your symptom improvement. May experience increased sedation and appetite on both meds. Inform your psychiatrist of any intolerable side effects and ask to be seen sooner. Most importantly, if you've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, treatment adherence is crucial. Good luck.

Not what I'd do.: If your diagnosis is correct, and you are having a lot of trouble with insomnia and depression, it sounds like the medications are right. It's recommended to titrate up with seroquel (quetiapine) starting at 50-100-150-300 over 4 days if this is the first you've taken it. It would be better if you had closer follow-up. I normally see people back after 1-2 weeks depending on how troubled they are.
