I've been taking seroquel (quetiapine) 50 mg for bipolar 2 and was wondering how long will the drowsiness affect take to go away. ?

Talk to your doctor: This is a low dose of Seroquel (quetiapine). Some people experience prolonged drowsiness even at a low dose. Talk to your doctor. Sometimes the sedating effect wears off after several days. You and your doctor will have to decide if this medicine is right for you. There are alternatives. Genetic testing might help to see if you are a slow metabolizer of this drug and to assist in finding replacements.
