A member asked:

Can frequent alcohol-abuse consumption for a year and a half cause any major health problems for a young (in 20s) active male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Maybe. Acute gastritis is common from excessive alcohol consumption, for one thing. Too much alcohol does not contribute to good health. Young people often think they're invinsible and believe they can just bounce back from stuff. Such is not always the case. One is liable to make unwise choices while intoxicated.
