Has anyone ever diagnosed/treated external iliac endofibrosis?

Yes: External iliac artery endofibrosis (eiae) is an uncommon disease that affects a large number of athletes. The pathogenesis of eiae is unclear. We offer an additional possible cause, with a direct relationship between eiae and psoas muscle hypertrophy.

Yes: I have seen several cases and they seem to be in people who are devoted cyclists. Surgical treatment is very effective and has resulted in complete recovery. The etiology is unclear but may be related to muscular hypertrophy.
