?Lilver disease: Advanced liver disease can cause low blood counts, splenomegaly and eliptocytes (oval shaped red cells). The HGB of 6.1 is unusually low, but can be seen with very advanced liver disease or bleeding. Other causes are also possible. This probably requires both a GI and hematology specialist to figure out.

BMB: Pancytopenia needs a bone marrow biopsy (bmb) to help establish the diagnosis. Many additional blood tests and potential diagnoses could be considered, but a history, physical exam, review of current and future laboratory values, and a bmb will help.
