Benadryl!: I would recommend a few things---first, i would try to protect your son from getting bit by using long light clothing, even in warmer weather, and using a product, eg, avon skin so soft, that is a natural insect repellant. When he gets bit, i would give him Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to prevent major swelling!
