Insect bites: Keep the insect bite area clean. Keep him from scratching at the site. You can give him a tepid bath with a little baking soda or aveeno (oatmeal powder) in the bath water. Caladryl clear gel can stop itching, if that's a problem. Call your doctor if redness or swelling is spreading.
