Not OK: Dilatation and curetage (D&C) is mostly performed to relieve heavy, irregular and prolonged menstruation. You should discuss this with your obgyn or the surgeon who did the procedure.

I think it's OK: Hysteroscopy and D&C are done for both diagnostic and therapeutic reasons. Diagnostically these procedures can detect polyps, fibroids and cancer. Therapeutically some of these entities can be treated. The D&C disrupts the lining of the uterus and frequently the next menses can be heavy. A normal report means no pathology was found. I would see what happens next cycle before becoming concerned.
