Cancer Diagnosis: Some cancers make their presence known by dramatic symptoms such as profound weight loss, gross bleeding from a body orifice, or the sudden onset of severe pain, jaundice, or a myriad of other signs and symptoms. Other cancers stay well hidden for years and may not be discovered until late in their course. If there is concern for yourself or a loved one, it is best to consult your physician.
