The tonsil is: An anatomic location that can be ientified as being on either side of the base of the tongue, and below and behind the soft palate, that thin membrance behind the hard palate with the dew drop of tissue called the uvula. Hpv has just replaced tobacco as main cause of cancer induction of the normal squamous mucosa that resides there.
