Cyst drainage: Cyst drainage refers to the insertion of a needle into a cyst and withdrawing the fluid inside. This could be a breast cyst, ovarian cyst, renal cyst or a cyst in a joint, like a ganglion cyst. The cyst contents are sometimes sent to a pathologist to aid in the diagnosis.
