Low neutrophils: The total white blood count (WBC) is made up of a percentage of neutrophils and other cell types. When the total WBC is low, or if the percentage neutrophils is very low then we call this neutropenia (insufficient neuts on and absolute basis). In the case of absence of nests it is called agranulocytosis.
