Try : Try giving Acetaminophen (tylenol) first. Pain relievers containing Ibuprofen or Naproxen can prevent the blood from clotting properly and can worsen the bleeding around his injuries. If his symptoms appear to be worsening instead of improving, give his doctor a call.

He : He can use a pain reliever, but we typically recommend Acetaminophen first because Ibuprofen (advil) has a slightly increased risk of bleeding.
