What can make my tooth sensitive two weeks after getting my teeth cleaned?

Exposed roots: Did you have a lot of plaque and/or calculus removed? I have seen this in people who have this layer removed and then it was sensitive. A prescription Fluoride or sensitive toothpaste might help.

Root exposure: Even if the calculus / tarter is a bad thing for your teeth and gums and bone, it still insulates the root area, as it provides a covering. Once removed, you have lost the covering ant the root is more exposed. Also, the scraping / sonic scaling is an irritant to the root. Check with your dentist - they may need to check you and might prescribe a Fluoride gel or rinse. Use sensodyne toothpaste.
