A member asked:

After initial tooth bleaching, does the whiteness become less bright after a while?

Yes: Yes! fortunately, there's a lot you can do after bleaching to prevent any further discoloration. Avoid as many of the extrinsic causes of stains as possible. Next, brush your teeth after meals to help remove the buildup of staining foods or drinks. Also, daily flossing can decrease bacterial buildup between teeth, while improving your overall dental health.

Yes: I am a pediatric dentist by specialty. Bleaching can diminish over a 2-three year period. Mazny times, it depends on habits that may stain your teeth --i.e. Smoking, coffee, or tea to name a few. From time to time, I have had to repeat a touch-up procedure on my patients.

Yes: Eventually the teeth will loose the whiteness as stains from foods and drinks will darken the teeth overtime. You may require a touch up bleach treatment periodically.
