Hip replacement: Survival is great, depending upon coexisting morbidities such as dm, htn, obesity, kidney and liver functional deficits, infections, decreased immunity, malnutrition, overall wellness, etc. Check with your pcp/cardiologist/etc. To get cleared if any questions or concerns.

Depends: It all depends on what the overall health status is of the individual. Are there any internal organ problems to begin with? Does the individual have any other risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, previous heart disease or history of stroke?
