No: However, sometimes the orthodontist can add a tooth to the wire for esthetics -- but not function. See your orthodontist. If you have implants, they can be used by the orthodontist and can have temporary teeth on them while your braces are working.

No: Anything that fits over the teeth would prevent tooth movement by the braces. However, missing teeth can be replaced and bonded to the braces while the movement is taking place. I would discuss this with your orthodontist.
