A member asked:

Who should do a pelvic exenteration if i am told it should be done for ovarian cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pelvic exenteration: If you are told you need a pelvic exenteration for ovarian cancer, a gynecologic oncologic would do the surgery. This most likely means that you have disease involving your rectum and that a posterior exenteration (removal of uterus, part of vagina and rectum) is needed to render you disease free at the time of surgery, good luck!
