Recently iam opraeted umbilical hernia. plz. sugeest type of exercise. runing &jogging , cycling , hill work out best or what.

Wait at least 8 wks: Returning to activity after umbilical hernia repair, depends on the size of the hernia and how it was repaired, any complicating medical conditions that you have or medications that you take, and your surgeon's preference. Usually gradual return to regular activity is allowed after 8 weeks, but may be longer if there are any complicating factors. More rigorous activities are allowed as tolerated.

As tolerated: I usually have my patients return to normal activity as tolerated by pain i discomfort. It does however depend on specific clinical factors and technique of repair. Call your surgeon for info regarding your specific case. Hope you get well soon!
