Breastmilk: 18 week old human babies are designed for just breast milk. Actually, all young baby mammals are designed for their mothers' milk. Baby formula is fine for human babies, and there is no need to count ounces unless a baby is not well. Rice cereal is used before the age of 4-6 months only if approved by the doctor for some reason. Usually, there is no need for anything solid before age 4-6 months.
