Antibiotics: Folliculitis or inflammed/infection of the hair follicle can be cured by course of antibiotics. Some have curly hair resulting in pseudofolliculitis barbae and this requires help of dermatologist. Some harbor staph, and will have repeated episodes--see your doctor. In the groin area/armpit, some may have infected sweat glands resembling folliculitis--see your doctor.
