Insect bite: Could be many things: insect bite, splint, bruise , ruptured small vessel. No reason to panic, in most cases something of short term significance. Get well soon.

Trauma: Sub periostel hematoma. Bone bruise tender takes months to go away but should be fine. Definitly have doctor look at it.
