Dr. should evaluate: A person throwing up for one week has more than a simple little illness. Throwing up for 1-2 days from viral infections, the flu, eating bad food, etc... Might be expected. However, one week of vomiting is a long time. A doctor can evaluate to see if there is a chemical imbalance, an unusual infection, a pregnancy, a stomach obstruction, a drug side effect, etc...

Vomiting: Yes. Prolonged vomiting for a week can cause serious electrolyte imbalances that need medical attention. Additionally the cause of prolonged vomiting needs to be diagnosed. Please see a primary care physician promptly.
