Get an evaluation: Rare cases of head injury can predispose to meningitis. Fractures through the sinuses or petrous ridge of the skull may cause fluid leakage and entrance of bacteria. More likely it is just a minor illness unrelated to the injury. However, a thorough medical evaluation would be appropriate.
