See below: The best thing to do in my opinion is to start out with a gentle yoga class with an experienced teacher who can show you the proper alignment techniques. Do not be in a hurry to "graduate" to more advanced classes and power classes. I see many people in these upper level classes who are using poor form and alignment and will likely hurt themselves. It takes time but it is well worth it.
