Surgery, inserts.: Unfortunately, there are no braces or exercises to get rid of a tailor's bunion. If you elect to have surgery, there are several ways your surgeon could go about it. Depending on the angle of your bones (you'll need an x-ray), there are many different procedures to choose from to correct your foot. If you would rather, cortisone injections to the joint or orthotics can improve symptoms.

They don't go away.: Tailor's bunions are bony deformities that can be treated conservatively, but can only be "cured" surgically. Orthotics, either otc or custom, can help. Wider shoes and padding also help. Pain is often due to inflammation and can be treated with ice, nsaids or steroid injections.

Symptoms may improve: The swelling and pain may improve. The bony deformity will not improve in its own.

Tailors bunion: Because this is a boney deformity only surgery can make it go away. Orthotics will help , but not make what is there regress or go away. See your podiatrist for assistance.
