What is a tailor's bunion / bunionette?

Different location: Tailors bunion is most simply described as a bunion on the baby toe side of the foot which is the opposite side of what is known as the traditional bunion. The bone below pink toe protrudes out ant the toe often points toward the other toes. Poor biomechanics, injury or heredity are most common causes.

Tailors Bunion: Tailor's bunion or bunionette deformity affects the lateral or outer side of the foot. It is a deformity of the head of the 5th metatarsal. It can be surgically corrected by an osteotomy of the metatarsal head with fixation.
