Unlikely: Nothing will work that fast on acne marks. If anything there may be a brief flare of acne as the medication brings problem areas to the surface , followed by improvement within 6-8 weeks.

Unlikely: Retinoid may decrease the activity of the sebaceous glands responsive for acne but, in and of itself, does very little for scarring, especially on one week. You may want to try salicylic acid preparations to reduce inflammation.
