Look at the stats: Cancer principally is a disease of old age. Every now and then somebody younger, perhaps a celebrity, might get a case of one cancer or another at a younger age and it becomes popular thought that cancer attacks the young, but the vast majority of cancer cases are age 70 and above. But please, use your worries constructively. Colonoscopy and mammography are very helpful in finding earlier cases.

Why are you fearful?: I think you should speak with your dr. To see if you have a high risk for cancer (family history, genetics). As we all age, our risk for cancer increases. Many cancers are curable when found at early stages-prostate, breast, cervical, skin. Make sure you visit your dr. For regular visits 1-2 times per year. If you are doing that, then you are doing everything possible. Enjoy living! good luck.
