Please see a mental health professional who specializes in anxiety disorders and phobias. Dying is the ultimate loss of control and that is why folks w/anxiety fear it a bit more than others. Think of Hiccups: Your fears are not uncommon. But you are getting stuck in your fears and it sounds like they are replaying themselves in your head. Think of them as forging a groove in your brain every time they pop up -a groove that gets deeper and deeper, so your brain finds it easy to go there. Asking why only serves to deepen the groove - which represents that your fear is real.
