Unsound advice: Blood in the urine can be an indication of a urine infection, kidney stones, or tumors of the kidneys, ureters, or bladder. This is why it is important to get in to see a urologist to have a ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis done and cystoscopy to rule out the stones and cancerous causes.

Okay to recheck 6 mo: It is routine to recheck on complex cyst in 6 months to see if stable or not. This avoids you invasive procedures that are both risky and costly. Blood in urine, though, needs to be looked into. I am sure that your doc has done that. Ask him/her what are possibilities, angiomyolipoma ? Stones? Other? Most complex cysts do not cause blood in urine. Need to be seeing a urologist or nephrologist.
