Ear vs jaw: Do you have a history of ear infections or ear surgery? You may have eustachian tube dysfunction which would cause a retraction of your eardrum and pain. Finally there is some chronic ear pain caused in patients who have tmj, or inflammation of the jaw joint. You should see an ENT for this first to rule out the ear problems first.
