Depends: Did you have this symptom before the blood clot was diagnosed? The concern would be for a pulmonary embolism, where the clot moves to the lung blood vessels. However, if that's where you clot already is, then yes, that is a regular symptom that should improve with time. If this is new, you need to be evaluated for new clot formation or embolization that may require more intensive therapy.

PE: If there is no lung capacity damage like infarct, you should be fine after few days of initial treatment. Treatment at least is about 9 months. Talk to your pcp.
