A member asked:

Is there a connection betwween low hemoglobin and fatty liver ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Find cause: Fatty liver is very common and may be serious or not, but a low hemoglobin is always a red flag for serious disease. Your physician owes you a complete investigation for your anemia. We do not want to miss blood loss into the gut from a cancer. The anemia workup must proceed; the fatty liver workup (which i suspect is unrelated) can wait.
