Allergic reaction?: It's quite possible you may be having an allergic reaction to something you have eaten recently. There are also conditions where you tongue and throat tissue swell due to medications you may be taking. You can try benedryl initially but ifthe swelling continues to increase tonight go to the er to keep from having an airway issue.

Contact irritation: Most likely caused by some kind of allergy to something it is coming in direct contact with. Cinnamon flavoring is always a leading culprit, but could be anything. Check if you changed your tooth paste/mouth wash/tooth brush lately or any other dietary changes. If it does not resolve within a week need to be seen by a professional.
