A member asked:

My luteal phaze is 10 days is that why i suffered a chemical pregnancy? or would my lp not have anything to do with the chemical?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chemical pregnancy: Normal luteal phase (from ovulation to first day of period) is 12-14 days. A short phase may mean there's not enough of your own Progesterone to support an early pregnancy. This can cause a very early miscarriage. However an abnormality in the chromosomes of the embryo will also cause miscarriage and is more likely. A Progesterone blood test 6days after ovulation will give information.
