For the past few days i have been getting a very bad headache in the back of my head and neck. what can i do to ease the pain?

Analgesics?: Your headache could well be referred from neck, and you could have arthritic issues in the spine, but there are several other problems to consider, so you need an exam and a diagnosis. Hard to tell you what meds to use, as different conditions are treated based on cause. Might try localized warmth on neck, and might find benefit in supine position. Regardless, enlist the help of your doctor.
