Abnormal: I don't know if "serious" is the right word. It is abnormal and should be investigated. You would do best by finding a trusted gastroenterologist and getting a thorough exam.

Bowel pain: Also known as visceral hypersensitivity. Usually not serious, but can significantly impact quality of life. Recommend you see a gastroenterologist to help with your symptoms.
