It could mean : twins, or if you are taking extra progesterone, this could also be the cause. Ultrasound at 7 or 8 weeks should tell the tale.

5w pregnant ?'s: It is "normal" for progesterone levels to increase when pregnant. Initially the progesterone is made in the ovaries, but at 7-9 weeks, it is made in the placenta. To evaluate fetal growth a serum "quantitative HCG" level is usually a better lab indicator of fetal well being.
