Thyroid: An MRI can not reveal if there are any functional issues with your thyroid but it can reveal maybe an anatomical abnormality but that doesn't imply any dysfunction. If your MRI was for something else this may just simply be an incidental finding.

MRI: Mri is a test that can sometimes over reward things. Get an ultrasound to evaluate your thyroid and if the nodule is over a cm consider a fine needle aspirate to diagnose.
