Yes: There are different types of stitches, some absorb rapidly, some take months & some need to be removed after a short period of time 1-3 weeks depending on where they are. So depending on what type of a stitches you got during the delivery, they might be a type like vicryl that take 3-4 months to absorb.I suggest you ask your OB to make sure they're not nylon/silk that needed to be removed.
