Ligament weakness : You are probably suffereing from some ligaament weakness in the thoracic spine agravated by a soft bed or worn out bed. Consider finding a physician wo does prolotherapy to fix the problem permanently.

Reflux: Esophageal reflux pain typically refers to the mid back region and is worse at night. Other possibilities include musculoskeletal pain in which case the back would feel tender where the pain is localized. With referred pain, the area where the pain is felt is non-tender.
